![]() I just upgraded my computer to the 8350 chip. It seems unlikely that the EasyStores should be malfunctioning. The other EasyStore was only used for backups. The most heavily used drive may have been used for 2 weeks straight and then also plugged into create images of my computer. The EasyStore drives however are powered by USB ports, they are not plugged in all the time. I am pretty sure it was broken, it was also old, well over 2 years, probably more like 5 years. The External, cord powered drive, that went bad, would not spin the disk. Through this interface I was able to read some files on one of the disks.ĭo you think the problem may be with my computer being able to read the drive, instead of with the drive itself. So it says the drive is OK.Īnother thing, I plugged one of the EasyStores into my Netgear R6100 router, it acts as a DNLA if you do that. All Western Digital.Īlso I ran a WD Drive Utilities, full test, and it gave me a green light. So I have been unable to use the main external, and now both EasyStore drives. The same is true for another EasyStore drive i have. ![]() I bought a new hard drive and wanted to transfer some file to it from the EasyStore WD hard drive. I had a WD external power drive fail on my about a month ago.
